School Day

The Start of the Day

We open the school gates at 8:40am in the morning to invite children and accompanying adults to trickle into school. After entering the school gates, we encourage children to walk to their classroom independently.

Our school day begins at 8.50am, any children arriving after this time will be marked as late.

Entering the School Buildings

Reception - On arrival, the children will enter via the coloured gate on the Reception playground. A member of staff will be there to direct them accordingly.  

Year 1 and 2 – On arrival, the children will enter via the ramp and the door into the KS1 building. A member of staff will be there to greet and direct them accordingly.

Year 3 and 4 - Children will enter through the doors to the Y3 and Y4 classroom block off the Early Year’s playground.  Children in Birch class will enter school via the ramp on the main playground.

Year 5 and 6 – On arrival, the children will enter via the door on the KS2 playground. A member of staff will be there to greet them accordingly. 

Playtime

KS1- 10:45am- 11:00am

KS2- 10:45am- 11:00am

Lunchtime

Reception 11:45- 12:45pm

KS1- 12:00- 1:00pm

KS2- 12:15- 1:15pm

The End of the Day

Both gates again will be open at both entrances at the end of the day. Departure times are slightly staggered.

3.15pm – Reception pupils to be collected

3.20pm - KS1 children to be collected

3.25pm – KS2 children to leave – Year 5 and 6 children can walk home on their own with permission. Please ask at the school office if you'd like a consent form. 

Our school week equates to the minimum 32 hours and 55 minutes per week
