“Since starting my adventure at Richard Wakefield C.E Primary Academy, I have always felt welcome. The staff are supportive and there is a positive energy that is amplified by the pupils; making the school a wonderful and nuturing environment to work in. Pupils and staff are passionate and incredibly hardworking, which makes me proud to be a part of the Richard Wakefield family. “

Foundation Governor

“I am honoured to be the parish priest of Tutbury and for Richard Wakefield school.  I am a regular visitor into the building. I love working with the staff there - their commitment to the ongoing Christian Distinctiveness is exemplary.  In Covid, their commitment to holding Zoom collective worship was so positive and encouraging. It is so good being back in school for our fortnightly assemblies.     Every time I go into school I am struck by the friendliness and smiles from the whole staff and the children. Every person I meet displays our shared Christian values. It is an honour to be your parish priest.   I look forward to developing the relationship between the school and the Church, to providing more opportunities in the coming school year joint activities to visit to the Church, and to working together in our community.   “
